Movie poster assignment (part 1)

The film that I intend to create a new poster for is 2015 comedy smash hit Paul Blart Mall Cop 2, staring the one and only, Kevin James. What attracted me to this genre defying film, is that some people might be put of the film by this poster, so I will make my own attempt to advertise this film for free.

The first thing I did was find some films that are similar to Paul Blart Mall Cop 2.
These three films are very similar to Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 as they are all silly comedy films.

 Here we have a classic poster, the original Paul Blart Mall Cop.

The things that all five of these posters have in common is the main actor/actors take up a large space on the poster. These actors are also making silly faces to tell people that this film is a comedy film. The backgrounds on all of these posters are all simple, so your eyes are attracted to the stars of the film. A similarity between the Jack and Jill and Grown Ups 2 is that they both feature the actors on the front doing some crazy poses, which helps reinforce that these films are comedy's as crazy things are going on. A similarity between Jack and Jill, Mortdecai and Paul Blart Mall Cop is that these posters feature their actors looking a bit ridiculous so when people see these posters, they will know for certain as they are comedy's.
